Neurotoxin

Repeated contractions of facial muscles can cause deep folds and wrinkles to form between the eyebrows, around the eyes, and in the forehead.

As we age, these dynamic wrinkles become more prominent, making us appear older and more stressed.

Neurotoxin

Neurotoxin in Colorado is a new treatment for wrinkles that works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that cause wrinkling, much like Neurotoxin Cosmetic. Neurotoxin was approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in the United States in April 2009, but it has been used for many years in Europe with an excellent safety profile. Many patients feel that Neurotoxin may begin to work sooner than Neurotoxin Cosmetic, but additional studies may be needed before the evidence is considered conclusive. Dr. McCracken has been offering Neurotoxin injections in Boulder and Denver, Colorado since the treatment was approved by the FDA.

About the Neurotoxin Procedure

Neurotoxin injections take about ten minutes to administer. Generally, patients can expect to experience only mild discomfort. Patients can resume normal activities immediately following the procedure. Visible improvements in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be seen within days, and results typically last for up to four months. Cosmetic fillers may be used along with Neurotoxin injections to maximize facial rejuvenation.

Neurotoxin is a protein isolated from a bacteria, and it is used to weaken facial muscles to decrease wrinkles. Neurotoxin works in a similar manner as Neurotoxin Cosmetic.
Is Neurotoxint safe?
Yes, Neurotoxin is safe. It has been FDA approved since 2009. It was used in Europe for years before it gained FDA approval.
How long does Neurotoxin last?
The duration of action of Neurotoxin varies from  patient to patient. Usually,  the effect of Neurotoxin lasts 3-4 months.
What happens when the Neurotoxin wears off? Will I become addicted?
